Tonight I thought up a hilarious response to a commonly-said phrase. It's probably been thought of before, but here we go:
Person: I don't like your language!
You: *most wide-eyed cute expression and tone you can manage* You don't like English?

The phrase "they just want their own way" should be expunged from the English language.
Expunged, expelled and deleted.
It is used as an excuse for far too many cruelties, and causes far too much hate, to ever be a good phrase again. It was never a good phrase to begin with.
It opposes enlightenment, and champions arbitrary and antagonistic relationships.
In short, it is BAD.
If you find yourself about to use it, I suggest you chant this mantra inside your head a few times -
"I'm their partner, not their adversary. I'm their partner, not their adversary."
Other words that should be thrown out onto the proverbial street - "brat", "spoil
